I bought this Persian styled rug with black background about 20+ years ago. It was in my country home along with a number of others. This India made rug is super thick and still in fine shape. I would suggest dry cleaning the rug as I have a Golden Retriever and you might be allergic. Rug is hand knotted and in fine vintage condition. Note: The Indian crafting of rugs most likely started in the sixteenth century. These days, Indian rugs are crafted in larger amounts and are typically influenced by conventional rugs, as by Persian or Chinese decorations.
