A new cafe has opened in Tokyo's trendy Setagaya district.
This facility, where various creative endeavors such as food, art, music, design, and fashion converge, was born as a place to stimulate all five senses, bringing together creators from various genres, both domestic and international.
The creative direction of the space was handled by Los Angeles-based artist Darren Romanelli, in collaboration with SHARE LOUNGE. In addition, exhibitions featuring works by renowned artists such as Richard Prince, Jonas Wood, Peter Saul, and Masao Anno will be showcased on a rotating basis.
Furthermore, the lounge area, lined with one-of-a-kind chairs created by Darren Romanelli from reconstructed vintage textiles, offers views of a lush promenade. In addition, murals and installations by Barry McGee, and an installation featuring 100 of Tom Sachs' representative works, Tea Bowls, make the entire space a compelling art destination.
The outdoor deck and planting were curated by Japan's leading treehouse builder, Takashi Kobayashi. Also noteworthy are the staff uniforms and original merchandise designed by NEIGHBORHOOD.
