Discontinued Daiko Felzas Regalo FZ-R106 Made in Japan

Purchased used in 2014 (no accessories, almost no signs of use). Used only for a specific purpose during a specific season, but no longer needed due to moving. Price is firm.

Although this rod is over 15 years old, it has been carefully handled and retains its original shine as shown in the photos. The non-slip coating on the reel seat is not sticky, and the corners of the cork grip are still intact. The ferrules were only adjusted with wax, so there is ample adjustment room remaining. After each fishing trip, it was washed in lukewarm water before I was, so I believe it is in very good condition for its age. Please check the photos for other detailed conditions.

There is one difference from its new condition. To make the tip easier to see even in low light and to prevent accidental damage, three locations, including the top guide, have been repaired and coated with glow-in-the-dark thread. I don't believe this affects its performance as a fishing rod, but please be aware that it differs from the manufacturer's original state.

It's lighter and easier to bend than you'd expect for a rod in the mid-10-foot range, and its beautiful curve when a fish is hooked sets it apart from modern rods.

[Manufacturer Description]
While adjusting the overall balance, the length has been extended by 1 foot without compromising the usability of the FZ-R96. It demonstrates light operability where the extended length is an advantage and not a disadvantage in situations where length is beneficial. It combines the sensitivity needed to read changes in current with the power to handle use on rocky shores.
