【Must-see for those who want to catch a lot of Ishidai or eat a lot of Ishidai】
While tackle is important for Ishidai fishing, I believe chum is even more crucial.
This product will be sent in a 20kg bag of White Carpet. 3kg of Red Carpet is also included.
White Carpet has a very high specific gravity, and its drawback is that it's very heavy. It's not gentle on people, but it's an environmentally friendly product (safe and harmless).
Instructions on how to make the chum are in my profile. Regarding how to apply the chum, the idea is to attract fish to the bait.
When the chum starts to work, you'll get bites one after another. You should gradually raise the depth of your bait. Eventually, you'll want to raise it to 4-5 meters below the rod tip (depending on the location). It's also best to chum in a pinpoint location. Imagine a pure white carpet directly below your rod.
Ishidai will gather on this pure white carpet. You'll also catch a lot of migratory Ishidai. (I believe fish that have eaten the chum and are full are resident fish, and fish that haven't eaten the chum are migratory Ishidai.)
Whiteダンゴ (dumplings) are especially recommended for spring Ishidai fishing. Mix about 3kg of White Carpet with about 3kg of rice bran, add a little water, form into dumplings, and throw them to your fishing spot. Whiteダンゴ are incredibly eye-catching. They have destructive power to attract Ishidai from afar. Even a single dumpling has immense power. If there are other anglers nearby, using White Carpet or Red Carpet will prevent them from catching anything. They won't even get bites. That's how effectively fish will gather in a pinpoint location.
Some people might think this is a joke chum, but it's serious chum. I've spent 28 years thinking about how to maximize catches while minimizing costs, and this is the chum I've developed.
Ishidai are not a mythical fish, nor is Ishidai fishing only for the wealthy. I believe Ishidai fishing is about passion. I'm happy to answer any questions, so please feel free to ask.
For your reference, last year in October, using this chum, I caught 26 Ishidai or young Ishidai (ranging from 28cm to 53cm) in one day (with chum). (In autumn, the average is 10 fish per day.)
