Antique Postcards - Love Story in Postcards - Phoebe & Earl 1909-1914 Lot of antique postcards sent by a sweet gentleman named Earl Moore to his lady love Phoebe Brooks from 1909 to 1914 when she became Mrs. Moore. The group includes 20 postcards; she lived in East Millsboro PA for the most part and he lived in Canton OHIO for the most part. These post cards are all Edwardian couple or romantic picture postcards typical of that era. Also included are postcards also sent to Phoebe and some later postcards which seem to indicate they had a son named Clifton Moore who also received postcards as he grew up. The additional postcards in addition to the original 20 includes 15 more postcards. The last postcard to Clifton is postmarked 1962. These almost all still have their original stamps affixed. This lot is from a family estate sale. By searching online I was able to find out that after marriage the couple lived in East Millsboro PA. Earl was born in 1886 and passed away in 1940. Phoebe was born in 1889 and passed away in 1970. Clifton indeed is listed as their son. See images of these interesting postcards.
