This is an authentic piece of Kabazaiku (cherry bark craft), a nationally designated traditional craft from Kakunodate, Akita Prefecture. This item showcases the craftsmanship of over 200 years of history, made with the bark of wild cherry trees.
The lid features a beautiful gold inlay of cherry blossoms, creating a design where the cherry blossoms are beautifully reflected on the cherry bark vessel, achieving a perfect harmony between material and design. The interior is finished with high-quality paulownia wood and includes two compartments for business cards and a pen tray.
The manufacturer's label (Trademark Registration: A4860200) remains on the bottom, confirming its authenticity. While there is slight evidence of use on the bottom, the surface and interior are in beautiful condition.
