VINTAGE TOASTMASTER 1B2 WATERS-GENTER CHROME 2-SLICE TOASTER TESTED WORKS  This is a vintage Toastmaster Model 1B2 two-slice pop-up toaster, manufactured by the Waters-Genter Co. during the 1930s. It functions as a standard household kitchen appliance for toasting bread.  The toaster features an Art Deco-inspired chrome-plated metal chassis with vertical fluted detailing along the side panels. It operates via a front-mounted mechanical lever and includes a browning control knob near the base. The unit is equipped with a period-correct cloth-wrapped power cord and utilizes a mechanical clockwork timer mechanism that audibly ticks while engaged. Cosmetically, the chrome finish exhibits moderate surface scratches, scuffs, and minor pitting consistent with heavy age. The original cloth-wrapped power cord shows fraying near the strain relief. The steel bottom plate has localized surface rust, and the four rubber base feet are hardened and heavily deteriorated.
