Vintage- Mid-Century CAPSCO George & Martha Washington Souvenir Teacup & Saucer Set - 22K Gold Warranted Rim   Description:  Up for sale is a beautiful, vintage mid-century souvenir teacup and saucer set featuring portraits of George and Martha Washington. This set was produced by CAPSCO (Capitol Souvenir Company, Inc.) out of Washington, D.C., likely dating between the 1950s and 1970s.   Details:   * Saucer features a portrait of George Washington with a wide, ornate, 22-karat gold-warranted filigree rim. * Teacup features a matching portrait of Martha Washington printed elegantly on the inner wall of the cup. * The bottom of the saucer bears the official vintage CAPSCO backstamp (Capitol Dome logo) and is marked Warranted 22 Karat Gold.  This set is in good vintage condition with bright gold leafing and clear portrait graphics. Please note that the Martha Washington teacup exhibits fine surface crazing throughout the internal glaze due to natural aging (see close-up photos). No major chips or structural cracks. Because of the crazing, this set is being sold strictly as a historical decorative display piece and is not recommended for drinking hot liquids.
