1976 Paul Masson 1-Liter Glass Wine Carafe –Thatcher Glass "Since 1852" Decanter

Manufactured in 1976 by the historic Thatcher Glass Manufacturing Company at their Okmulgee, Oklahoma plant (proudly bearing the OK maker's mark on the base), this piece carries a wonderful slice of American vintage advertising history. The neck is beautifully embossed with Paul Masson’s iconic Since 1852 circular seal and stylized wine glass logo, commemorating the legendary California winery's deep nineteenth-century roots. Originally purchased at retail filled with restaurant-style table wine, these carafes were intentionally designed to be treasured and repurposed for decades to come. This heavy-duty molded glass carafe features an ergonomic hourglass silhouette that is as functional as it is beautiful. On the base, you will find a distinct indentation known as a punt. While originally a traditional glassblowing mark, this deep dimple serves as the perfect spot to securely rest your thumb while supporting the base with your fingers. This allows for an effortless, elegant, and highly controlled one-handed pour while keeping your hands away from the body to keep cold beverages perfectly chilled. It makes an excellent tabletop decanter for aeration or a beautiful beverage dispenser for orange juice or water at weekend brunches. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The glass is bright and clear, completely free of any chips, cracks, flea bites, or heavy mineral cloudiness. It shows very minimal shelf wear. Five star seller with quick shipping! ✈️
