Vintage handmade leather Etienne Aigner small satchel purse bag

The color of this bag is the classic brown based red that this brand is known for. This bag may be as early as 1950s. For its age, it is in good condition. There are light surface scratches that are far more visible when held under sunlight and photograph sideways! Since they are there, I made sure that they could be seen in the photograph. However, if you will look at the photos taken from a distance in lower light, you really do not see the scratches at the same level of visibility.  There’s metal trim at the top which shows signs of previous use,  light scratching. I think the metal probably would improve if polished, which I did not do. The inside is basically sound. The open pocket seems a bit stretched out. I think it would benefit from leather conditioner. The outside has been cleaned and conditioned. Fortunately, the straps have held up very well and do not show the usual sign of use in the center of the leather. Please be sure to view all photos..
